MAVERICK ET-73 BATTERY ENDURANCE TEST AND CONTEST!
The last time I spoke to Maverick Customer service regarding the ET-73 Smoker remote wireless thermometer, they said that "the battery lasts for months! YOu can just leave the unit turned on!" .
Well ...time to find out .. .
Today, I am opening a BRAND NEW unit, installing the supplied batteries , turning on both the transmitter and the receiver and immediately starting the timer function.

Pic below is on my desk this evening ... note I have the ET73 in the "timer" mode and it is showing 7 hours and 55 minutes into the test. Tomorrow I will be putting this unit on display in our store and we'll all watch how long the batteries last !
